Salish smoked Salt is 100% natural, with no preservatives or colourings, it is harvested in evaporation ponds in the Pacific Ocean. Its naturally smoky taste comes from being dried over a red alder wood fire. Its purplish black colour is also characteristic and distinguishes it from another well-known smoked salt, maldon salt. In terms of flavour, Salish salt is surprisingly smoky, with a very smoky aroma that becomes somewhat more subtle in the mouth. It nevertheless has a strong salting power.
