SICOLY®’s IQF frozen pineapple chunks are made from MD2 or MG3 varieties of pineapple grown in the Philippines, Costa Rica and Ivory Coast, which are known for their taste quality.
The fresh fruits are sorted and the ripe fruits hand-cut into chunks; they are frozen directly in situ in order to guarantee optimum quality.
The pineapple chunks are then sorted a second time here in our production facilities and packed.
