Smoked paprika from Vera valley - 60g
Paprika comes from a sweet pepper that Christopher Columbus brought from South America as a gift for Queen Isabella. She had strongly questioned the soundness of Columbus’s expedition but history proved her quite wrong. Paprika pepper has been cultivated in Spain’s Vera region, in the heart of the Gredos Mountain Range, since the 16th century. This region enjoys an exceptionally mild and humid microclimate.
Its chorizo flavor and its dark red colour belong to the traditional Spanish repertoire and cast sunshine on family and popular dishes such as paella or tortillas.
Suggestions for use : Smoked paprika is one the base for Spanish cooking: in Iberian cooked meats or paella… Use it also with fish or in a potatoes au gratin, you won’t be disappointed!
