Burrata is a fresh Italian cow milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains stracciatella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. It is typical of Apulia. It is usually served fresh and at room temperature. This cheese is made with pasteurised milk, suitable to be consumed during pregnancy.

Specification The city of Gioia del Colle (Puglia region, in the south of Italy) is known around the world for being the birthplace of one of the most famous cheeses in Italy: Fior di Latte mozzarella. It was the history of this city that inspired two brothers Sebastiano and Francesco Capurso who grew up in Gioia, to create Gioiella Latticini in 1942. Started as a small shop in the center of the town with an old bicycle used for deliveries, today Gioiella is well known in Italy.
