Frozen chocolate sandwiches recipe

INGREDIENTS

for 12 frozen chocolate sandwiches

  • 20cl whole milk
  • 18 graham crackers (or any whole-wheat cracker)
  • 35cl of heavy cream
  • 24 marshmallows
  • 340 grams of chocolate, grated of chopped

METHOD

Line a baking dish with foil paper, making it bigger than the dish so the foil can hang over the sides. In a large skillet over low heat, stir milk and marshmallows until they have a smooth texture. Remove this mixture from the heat. Add the chocolate and keep on stirring until it all melts. Put this mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Beat the cream until it is stiff in a large bowl. You can use an electric mixer if you wish or just your own strenght. Quickly add the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture, stirring in until all the white disappears. Spoon your chocolate-cream mixture into your oven dish and remove air bubbles by tapping it on the counter. Cover and freeze for at least 3 hours (until it sets)

Transfer your frozen mixture by holding it from the foil sides onto a cutting board. Cut into 24 squares, brake the crackers in half and layer them to make 12 double-decker frozen sandwiches. Put your frozen chocolate sandwiches on a plate, cover it and return everything to the freezer until it is time to serve.

Enjoy !
