Our unsweetened* frozen strawberry purée from France is made from fruits picked at optimum ripeness to offer a purée with optimal flavours. We selected the Charlotte strawberry to create this new recipe. The Charlotte strawberry is a French variety created by crossing a Mara des Bois strawberry with another variety. This gives very specific aromas to the Charlotte strawberry, which is recognized as one of the most aromatic varieties of strawberries and appreciated by gastronomy professionals, among which pastry chefs and ice-cream makers. The Charlotte strawberry is naturally sweet, with very low acidity, and hints of wild strawberry flavours and a vivid red colour.
